2 Day Outdoor First Aid Training Courses

First aid training delivered by extremely experienced instructors across the Southwest of England

Our 2 Day course locations include Dartmoor, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. We use training venues that provide both an indoor classroom and outdoor areas to deliver a mixture of scenario theory and practical lessons based on the outdoor environments.

The 16 Hour Outdoor First Aid Course covers all the requirements of National Governing Body (NGB) Instructor Awards in the UK. The outdoor course deals with issues involved with the long-term care of casualties in a remote setting. Outdoor First Aid is sometimes called Wilderness First Aid or Remote First Aid.

PLUS, we also teach Paediatric first aid on this course so you gain the Paediatric certificate as a dual certificate. Flexibility, your trainer will adapt and tailor the course to your specific requirements, and the type of real-life situations you’re likely to face.

Throughout your course, you will be presented with several realistic and dramatic situations involving casualty simulation. This will challenge and enhance the skills and knowledge you have acquired from the course.

The 2-day training course includes primary and secondary casualty surveys; we also look at first aid equipment and how you may adapt and improvise your equipment to support your first aid kit.

Paediatric certificate

We also cover Paediatric first aid for children through the 2 days training, therefore, we are able to include comprehensive paediatric assessments and provide the paediatric certificate to Forest School leaders, teachers, and childcare providers. This hands-on course satisfies the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements. The certificate is valid for three-years.
