Remote First Aid

Remote First Aid course that satisfies the criteria for First Aid training for all Outdoor NGB qualifications.

The 2 day Outdoor First Aid course is designed to meet the needs of those working away from immediate assistance (more than 30 mins) in remote and rural regions.

The course delivered over 16 hours meets all the requirements of National Governing Body (NGB) Instructor Awards in the UK. The outdoor course deals with issues involved with the long-term care of casualties in a remote setting.

Our trainers that deliver the outdoor training hold a range of outdoor instructor qualifications, including medical qualifications that bring a wealth of skills and real-time experiences to training sessions.

2 Day Outdoor First Aid training for the outdoors

The course and content is very much aimed at Mountain Leaders and Outdoor activity instructors such as Canoeing, climbing and ski instructors but also very suited to forest leaders and Duke of Edinburgh leaders.

Although it’s recommended that some basic first aid knowledge is held, pre course reading is a requirement for this course. Those attending will also be required to be physically fit and able to work in cold outdoor environments.

This is a very practical, scenario-based course which allows learners to practice skills and contextualise theory in realistic situations.

The course also covers the Emergency First Aid at Work syllabus that meets the requirements of Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations on first aid training, therefore we can provide you with this certificate also.
