Outdoor First Aid Courses in Wiltshire & Dorset from Optimal First Aid.

Our Outdoor First Aid Courses in Wiltshire on the Dorset border are held at 1st Woodcutts Scout HQ & Campsite, Sixpenny Handley, SP5 5NW on a regular basis.

This Outdoor first aid course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations including when and how to move a casualty, major illnesses and injuries, administering CPR and managing an unresponsive casualty.

The contents of this course will cover primary and secondary care and are adapted to the outdoor world where the emergency services may take longer to access.

We also award the certificate for Paediatric First Aid which is a requirement by OFSTED for Early Years Foundation Stage requirements, in addition to the 16hr Outdoor First Aid certificate as many outdoor instructors and forest school practitioners also work in an Early Years school setting. All our first aid qualifications provide certificates which are valid for 3 years. CPR is taught in accordance with the current UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

Throughout your course, you will be presented with many realistic situations involving emergencies that you may be faced with in the outdoor environment.

Our courses are for anyone, but is particularly suitable for those who work outdoors, for example, Outdoor Activity Instructors, Forest School Leaders, Estate workers, and anyone who enjoys the great outdoors, to name but a few.
