There are no hard and fast rules on how many trained first aiders you should have. It depends on the nature of your work and its location.
If you anticipate that you have any learning difficulties/language barriers that have the potential to disadvantage you from achieving this first aid qualification, please inform us at the earliest available opportunity so that we can make reasonable adjustments for you.
You will receive your certificate within 3-5 days of passing the course.
If you are unsuccessful in passing one of your assessments you will, in the first instance, be provided with detailed feedback from your assessor as to why the relevant assessment criteria were not met on this occasion. You will then receive a support plan with actionable steps to be taken that will enable you to prepare for a reassessment at a later date. Resits are completely free of charge.
In most cases, most workplace first aid certificates are valid for three years. To renew your Emergency First Aid at Work certificate you will be required to attend another one day’s course.
When it comes time to renew your first aid certificate, you need to take a two-day refresher course to get your new certificate. This refresher needs to be completed within 28 days of the expiration date on your previous certificate.
